In addition to being Absolute Ruler of the Country the Emperor is connected to his people by the religion of Zhintoism is which he is the Tenshi or Son of Heaven (Highest Cleric in the religion) this makes him a living god, the connection between the people and the Heavens. The Emperor appoints and dismisses the Prime Minister and members of the Imperial Council which advise him. Children in school are taught to obey the Emperor and about his status as a God.
The Emperor holds the title of Supreme Commander of the Imperial Armed Forces, the Navy, the Army, and the Air Force. Traditionally the Emperor only wore Imperial robes; today the Emperor wears Military Uniforms and modern dress suits.

The Emperor lives in the Imperial Palace in the Capital city. The Imperial Palace complex is on a 3.5 sq. Mile Island; this Palace contains the Private Palace of the Emperor. The Current Emperor:
The current Emperor was born on March 17, 1971 (age: 37) Emperor Mishihito IV and his Empress. When the young Crown Prince Yoshihito was 7 his father suffered a stroke, and died 2 weeks after. On December 19 1978, the 7 year old Crown Prince was enthroned as Emperor of Kazoku. His Father, a strict conservative ensured that the crown Prince would be prepared for the throne.
The Young Emperors first years were traditional in the ways of Kazoku, when he was 17 he met the Emperor of Natopia, the Emperors became close friends, Emperor of Natopia introduced the Emperor a lot of things including auto racing, Ice Hockey (the Emperors favorite sport) and other modern ideas The Emperor of Natopia even gave him the Christian nickname of Philip. As the Emperor entered his 20s he became a playboy monarch within his Palace, surrounded by friends, family and servants but outside the palace his subjects saw him as their God-Emperor.
Even with his modern life the Emperor is still must be a traditional monarch, like the Emperors before him. Now in his late thirties the emperor’s playboy lifestyle has been toned down. The Emperor is still worshiped by his people and still runs his country as his forefathers did.
